TRAILS

A system of trails has been laid out, with a southerly, red-signed main trail leading from the lighthouse to the Vaktstugan cottage, to Himmelstorp and on to Arild. Another, blue-signed, trail runs from the lighthouse along the northern edge and across the highest points of the peninsula to Himmelstorp, where it joins the red trail leading to Arild. Several cross-country trails, marked in yellow, link the red, southern trail to the blue, northern trail. These trails enable walkers to plan circular tours of any desired length.
If you want to avoid having to cross enclosed pastureland, there are almost always several alternative routes to choose from.

You can also take a tour with one of the Nature Reserve’s specially trained Nature Guides – For more details, see the section on guided tours.

Rock-climbing

Kullaberg offers rock-climbing for both novices and more experienced climbers. Today there are about 700 routes on some 20 rock faces. The rock itself consists of grey to reddish gneiss dotted with various crack formations. The north and south coasts offer different styles of climbing; the rocks of the south coast are firmer and more exposed to the sun, while the north coast offers longer climbs. Different techniques are often called for on one and the same route. Kullaberg is an ideal climbing venue for novices, with many easy climbs. One of the most popular routes  is called Carstens Ränna and is situated about 200 m. south of Kullen lighthouse.
Companies that arrange rock climbing courses: Kulla-Äventyr – Beginners’ and advanced courses in rock climbing. Special Sport School - Basic courses for beginners.
