Flora

Plant life
On the slopes of Kullaberg the vegetation is extremely varied depending on the direction the slope faces. An extremely large number of species occur as well as rarities such as Keeled Garlic and Wild Marjoram. The plant 'vårvial' (lathyrus sphaericus - grass peavine) is only found on Kullaberg and one other place in Sweden.

Fauna

Animal life
The sea around Kullaberg is rich in fish and there are also a number of crustaceans, sea urchins, snails and mussels. Rabbits and deer are very common. As you near the lighthouse there are red deer in a special enclosure near the road. Around 275 species of bird have been observed. Of these 90 or so nest on Kullaberg. The most common include warblers, chaffinches, blackbirds, collared doves and robins. Buzzards and sparrow hawks are also visible. After storms unusual sea birds often turn up from the Atlantic e.g. fulmars, gannets and skuas.
